White Water Kayaking Skills
23rd – 27th March 2009
£85 all in!!
As part of its remit to develop participation in canoesport, Tollymore is providing a ‘Whitewater Kayaking’ skills course for those involved in clubs, youth development, universities and other organisations, who work with young people in a canoesport environment.
This white water skills course will be based in Western Scotland and will run from the 23rd – 27th March. The cost is £85 per person, which includes all accommodation, food, use of specialist equipment and return transport from Tollymore. The aim of this course is to provide volunteers with white water skills training, to develop them as paddlers, which may enable them to venture to new areas in the future as independent paddlers and add to their knowledge and experience. Priority will be given to volunteers who work regularly with young people, developing paddling skills and promoting kayaking and canoeing. Participants must be over 18 years of age, be able to roll and have experience of running Grade 3.
