This year held successes across the board for our Sprint programs; our Development Squad paddlers performed better than ever with multiple PB’s and promotions to the next level of competition for British Regattas. The athletes in our new talent program, Sprint Futures, progressed from little or no paddling experience to competing at the British Open Sprint Regatta in Olympic class kayaks and completing all of their races with respectable times for having only paddled for five months prior. A high point of the season was when Afton achieved third at the under 23 world championships.
