Special Olympics Ulster and CANI have been teaming up to offer kayaking to individuals with a learning disability in the Derry and Fermanagh areas.
Erne Paddlers and Foyle Paddlers have developed successful partnerships with their local Special Olympics conterparts which culminated in athletes competing in the 2017 Regional Advancement Special Olympics Kayaking Event. Following this event, three athletes from Lakeland Special Olympics Club have been selected to represent Ulster at the 2018 Special Olympics Ireland Games in Dublin.
Chloe Hamilton from Erne Paddlers will also be joining the team of twelve athletes as an assistant coach.
