Our slalom athletes have had an exciting year with five paddlers being selected onto the Irish National Team and competing in events across Europe and as far as Rio de Janeiro. Jake Cochrane (C1M), Ali McCreery (K1M), and Eoin Teague (K1M) competed at World Cups 1, 2, & 5 and, along with Sean McClarnon (C1M), competed at the Junior and U23 World Canoe Slalom Championships.
To finish off the year Jake and Ali both competed for Ireland at the World Canoe Slalom Championships at the site of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The athletes are now in winter training and will be getting ready for the Irish Championships and selections in March.
