We have been informed by a canoe club that a water bailiff approached them while paddling on the Six Mile Water and asked them not to paddle the fish Ladder.
The bailiff said that due to the low water levels there is a large number of fish trying to get upstream. The Bailiff asked if paddlers could avoid paddling the fish ladder for the next three weeks.
We cannot enforce this but we would appreciate your cooperation.
