Junior/ Adult/ Induction Sessions

These sessions are an excellent way to try out paddling.  If you would like to join the club, this is the first step to doing so.  It offers a wide range of paddling disciplines where you can come and try different kayaks, canoes, sit on tops and stand up paddle boards.  If you are a complete beginner, then club coaches are happy to assist you on to the water, give some tips on paddling safety and techniques, answer questions about the club and paddling.  There is no obligation to join, if you are water confident and the club meets your needs you will find a life long sport!

Recreational Paddles

Try recreational paddles, these are a great way to see Lough Erne and the  beautiful vistas, ancient sites and that feeling of being in the great out doors.  The club provides that access on to the water and being able to explore places that many of the local community have never been.  Bring your picnic, paddle to an island and enjoy that sense of being away from it all, and in the safe hands of experienced coaches and leaders who have a passion for this sport and the waterways environment surrounding us all.

 .

Skills Sessions

Try the skills sessions, they are great insight in to paddling techniques and skills to be learnt.  If you have done some paddling, may be have your own kayak or canoe but know that you would like to improve your paddling ability, then these skills sessions are a great way to learn.  Experienced coaches will spend time with you, answer your questions and give you insights to your paddling technique and suggest ways to develop it.  If you find the skills sessions helpful, then the club could be that place to further your paddling and get more out of this great sport.

Family Paddles

Try paddling with all the family.  The largest group of members in the club is made up of families.  This is one sport where parents and children can all come together and experience the fun and games on the water.  Learn to paddle, have a trip around the town of Enniskillen, splash around and take the plunge at the end,  and the evening will pass quickly.

Polo

Try the exhilarating game of polo.  Maybe you have seen it been played, you done some paddling before, happy to be on the water, don’t mind getting wet and confident about capsizing then come along, you will be made very welcome.  Learn the rules of the game, the tactics involved and realise what a great fitness sport this is.  The club will provide the necessary boats and equipment to get involved.

Additional Information

All equipment will be provided on the day so you don’t need any specialist kit to take part. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, such as light tracksuit bottoms (not jeans) and layered tops, as well as any water/windproof over layers and a pair of old shoes (with secure fastenings) which you don’t mind getting wet – no flip flops.

Check the weather before leaving the house to ensure you take clothing to suit the conditions. If it is sunny, don’t forget to wear waterproof sun cream (we recommend a minimum of factor 30) and a hat, as the reflection of the sun off the water can be strong. You should bring a towel and a spare change of clothes to travel home in, just in case you get wet.
