Meet and Trip Plan:
We will meet on Saturday 28th September at the car park below the bridge on the Quoile for 10.00am start and will finish back at the car park for 3.00pm. The day’s paddle will be relaxed, with a few breaks and pleasant lunch stop in the middle, so please bring a lunch along with you.
All paddles are subject to weather conditions.
Venue Description:
The Quoile begins its life as the Ballynahinch River, which is very small and
not ideal for paddling, then becomes the Annacloy River, which is an excellent
white water paddle from Mason’s Bridge to Kilmore. From Kilmore to Annacloy is
mostly flat water with a few weirs. The River is generally known as the Quoile
from Annacloy down through Downpatrick to the Barrage where it flows into
Strangford Lough. This section of the river is completely flat. From Jane’s
Shore is a beautiful paddle up past Inch Abbey. The river is surrounded by
woodland and arable land and has huge populations of waterfowl and swans.

Alternatively if you would like to avail of the CANI membership benefits you can create a new user account here and then purchase membership. After this you can book the paddle as a member, making the event free and reducing fee for equipment hire.
If you plan to take part in more than one recreation paddle, this would be much more economical.
Note: If you are a CANI member the price you see before adding to cart is the price you will pay. In the cart it will show at full cost but in your Order Summary you will see the discounts. (For example, if you do not hire a boat it will be free for CANI member)
