How long have you been involved in performance canoeing/kayaking?
I have been involved in performance surf kayaking since I first joined the CANI development squad in the spring of 2013.
What motivated you to begin performance canoeing/kayaking?
I was motivated to start surf kayaking by watching videos of Andy McClelland surfing in Portrush and wanting to surf as well as he could.
What is your main discipline?
My main discipline is surf kayaking and I mostly train around Portrush and the surrounding beaches.
Which club are you a member of?
I am a member of both c3 (Craigavon Canoe Club) and the Ulster Paddlesurf Club.
Who is your coach?
I have received coaching from Marty McCann and Paul Harrington as part of the surf squad and also some extra coaching from Jonny Bingham.
What are your greatest achievements thus far?
5th in junior long and short boat at the 2015 Pantin World championships, 3rd junior long boat at the Europeans, and British and Irish Opens junior long boat champion 2 years running.
What do you hope to achieve in the future?
I hope to win a world championship and also develop surf kayaking by inventing new types of airs and turns.
Who has been the greatest influence in your career?
My dad for all his encouragement at the World championships, Europeans, Irish, British and Northern Irish Opens helping me feel ready for heats.

When you’re not canoeing/kayaking what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy editing videos for YouTube in my free time and watching YouTube videos of other surfers

No
Who is your most admired sports person?
Jordy Smith from the World surf league as I admire his huge turns and airs which give his surfing something that makes you say WOW.
What, if any injuries have you sustained?
I cut the base of my hand open rolling through set waves at the Whiterocks recently.
