How long have you been involved in performance canoeing/kayaking?
A long time, I moved to France when I was aged 9 and became involved with a local canoe club in the West of France, however it wasn’t until aged 22 when I had finished university and travelled the world for a year that I made the full time commitment to become a Full Time Athlete.
What motivated you to begin performance canoeing/kayaking?
I have always had a deeply seeded dream to one day compete at the Olympics.
What is your main discipline?
My main discipline is K1 Slalom
Which club are you member of?
I am currently not a registered member of any club.
Who is your main coach?
My main coach is Han Bijnen with help from Arlo.
What are your greatest achievements thus far?
My greatest achievement to date would be making the Final at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
What do you hope to achieve in the future?
After narrowly missing out in qualifying for the Rio Olympics at the World Championships in 2015, I have my sights firmly set on ceasing the remaining Olympic spot at the Europeans in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia this coming May.
Who has been the greatest influence in your career?
The greatest influenve in my career would by Han Bijnen,he is my coach, partner and father of their son Arlo.
Who are you currently sponsored by?
I currently supported by Sport Northern Ireland, Canoe Association of Northern Ireland, Sport Ireland, Canoeing Ireland and the Sports Institutes.
When your not canoeing/kayaking what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I have several hobbies including house renovation, dancing, walking on the beach, spending time with my loved ones and looking for new experiences.
