We are organizing a swim on Lough Sheelin on Saturday, 31st May.
There are 15k, 5k and 1k swims
We have swimmers from the US, UK and from all over Ireland taking part.
Approximately 15 for the 15k swim, 20 for the 5k swim and 20 for the 1k swim.
Start time for 15k will be 9am, for 5k 12noon and 1k 3pm.
The fastest 15k swimmers should finish in about 3.5hrs, slowest 5 hours
We have local boatmen covering plus the Civil Defense and 3 ribs (so far)
The Safety Officer is Declan O’Reilly from Irish Sub Aqua and also runs rib safety courses.
It is a big swim event and we need to try and have 1 boat / canoe per swimmer
We hope to have a dinner after the event and all support crew will be guests of the swimmers
