Newry & Mourne Sea Kayak and Canoe Club ran a ‘Have a go’ day, in glorious sunshine, at Camlough Lake, on Saturday 4th June. 37 mums, dads and children turned up to try out small kayaks, sea kayaks and Canadian canoes. The lake is very low at the minute and was flat calm – perfect for the occasion. Juice and biscuits were supplied to the intrepid paddlers after their ‘go’. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day, especially our club members, who took pleasure in imparting their wisdom to the newcomers. We would do it again.
