Mental Health

What can you do to promote mental health well being in your club or organisation?

Sport NI have provided the following suggestions;

-Raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health and well-being and how this can have an impact on physical health.

-Raise awareness of the risks of self–harm and suicide within sport and steps to reduce these risks

-Highlight the importance of training for coaches and volunteers to help them to recognise early signs of emotional difficulty and know how to respond

-Create an environment where people can ask for help and support when needed.
