Lower Bann, Recreational Paddle – Saturday 4th May 2019

Meet and Trip Plan: 
We will meet on Saturday 4th May 2019 at access point 3 Newferry East on the Lower Bann for a 10am. Depending on the weather on the day, the trip will be one of the following;

  • Newferry East, Lough Beg and return Newferry East
  • Newferry East to Portglenone
  • Newferry East to Toome

All paddles are subject to weather conditions.

Venue Description: 
Stretching from Lough Neagh to the Atlantic Ocean, this Canoe Trail provides a unique way to experience the beautiful River Bann. Passing through constantly changing scenery, the trail offers both tranquil waters and some faster flowing sections. The river is also steeped in history dating back to Mesolithic times.

Note: If you are new to CANI, when you select – booking, you will go to the event page. From here you can book the event and equipment. Once you add this to cart, you will be required to sign up as a new user. This will create you as a user in the CANI Go Membership system and then direct you through to payment. Once you have created this new user account, please note your login details for further events.

Alternatively if you would like to avail of the CANI membership benefits you can create a new user account here and then purchase membership. After this you can book the paddle as a member, making the event free and reducing fee for equipment hire.

If you plan to take part in more than one recreation paddle, this would be much more economical.

Note: If you are a CANI member the price you see before adding to cart is the price you will pay. In the cart it will show at full cost but in your Order Summary you will see the discounts. (For example, if you do not hire a boat it will be free for CANI member)

Non-Members – £10.00

Boat Hire:
CANI members – £10.00
Non-Members – £15.00

Note: When hiring a boat, this will include paddles and buoyancy aids.
