Performance Coach Development

This is exciting times for CANI and the Performance Coach workforce. Over January, February and March CANI will be bringing over world class coaches in Sprint, Slalom and Surf to mentor and coach our Development and Talent Squad Coaches.

Sprint

For Sprint we have Ian Wynne coming across on Saturday 31st – Sunday 1st February.

Ian is the National Talent Coach for GB Canoeing and leads on their Junior Programme.

When Ian is across he will be mentoring/coaching CANI’s Development and Talent Squad Coaches.

Over these 2 days there will be the opportunity for coaches who are involved in the Junior Bladers sprint programme to get some mentoring/coaching.

Also if you were involved in the CANI Performance Coaching for Clubs or you are interested in getting into sprint coaching you will have the opportunity to observe these 2 days. If you are interested in observing these days please get in touch with rodgerhamilton@cani.org.uk

Slalom

For Slalom we have Craig Morris coming across on Saturday 31st – Sunday 1st February.

Craig is the Lead Coach for the Canoe Slalom Podium Potential Programme and is the Technical Coach K1 Women for GB Canoeing.

When Craig is across he will be mentoring/coaching CANI’s Development and Talent Squad Coaches.

Over these 2 days there will be the opportunity for coaches who are involved in Junior Bladers Slalom programme to get some mentoring/coaching.

Also if you were involved in the CANI Performance Coaching for Clubs or you are interested in getting into Slalom coaching you will have the opportunity to observe these 2 days. If you are interested in observing these days please get in touch with rodgerhamilton@cani.org.uk

Surf

For Surf we have Edu Etxeberria coming across in February or March. Edu is a world class Surf Coach from San Sebastián.

When Edu is across he will be mentoring/coaching CANI’s Development and Talent Squad Coaches.

Over these 2 days there will be the opportunity for coaches who are involved in Junior Bladers Surf programme to get some mentoring/coaching.
