Job Advert – Moira Lakes Water Sports Manager & Coaches / Instructors

Moira Lakes Water Sports & Events Centre re-opens in Spring 2022.  We are seeking a Manager / Coach with suitable experience and qualification to head up the centre water activities focused around family fun on the water in a range of paddlesports.  The candidate will take ownership of the guest’s journey from start to finish within the centre operation, coordinate staff and ensure the ML Centre is empowered to deliver consistent world class experience.

Key Responsibilities

– Be a leadership role model, motivate, inspire and enable you and your team to deliver exceptional experiences on the water for our guests.

– Coach/train and develop the Activity teams to maximise performance in order to deliver an exceptional class guest experience.

– Monitoring/observing sessions to ensure the delivery meets pre-defined standards and providing feedback and coaching to instructors

– Support the coordination of the workload & rota’s of the Activity teams that ensures delivery of a unique guest experience

– Complete all weekly and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner

Essential Criteria

– Sheltered Water Coach, or above, discipline specific (i.e. Kayak / Canoe / SUP)

– Open Water Lifeguard Qualification or ability to progress to this level in advance of starting position

– Knowledge of the company & product or a proven track record in the Activity/Learning sector

– Efficient time management & organisational skills

– Confident communicator (both verbal and written) with a personable and professional manner and the ability to interact and relate to all levels of staff / guests and build strong working relationship.

– Experience of coaching, and giving feedback confidently and professionally

– Experience of delivering training and development events

– Recruit, manage, train, and develop a team of part time staff

– IT Literate – knowledge of word/excel /Microsoft packages

The ML centre is evolving so the candidate will be flexible in their roll and develop with the centre and activities.   This role is based on a permanent 40hour contract that will involve working weekdays, weekends and evenings.  The annual salary is subject to experience.

We are also seeking a bank of paddle sports instructors / coaches
