Join a virtual event for stakeholders
October 26th 2021 (7.30pm —8.30pm)
DAERA and RPS are pleased to invite you to an online event to share insights into the development of a Conservation Management Plan for the Lough Melvin Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
This plan will help meet national and international obligations to protect, promote and manage Lough Melvin’s designated features and therefore, will contribute to halting and reversing the loss of biodiversity.
We believe that collaboration and shared learning during the plan’s development is key to ensuring the future sustainability of our environment. DAERA would like to open our virtual doors to share information about the catchment, its pressures and threats and the proposed measures to tackle the issues cross-sectorally.
Speakers include:
James Warnock & Laura Stevenson – DAERA
Francis Mackin & Mark Magee – RPS (consultants)
This event will be delivered online and DAERA and RPS will update stakeholders on the progress of the Conservation Management Plan, and allow stakeholders to ask questions about the Conservation Management Plan for the panel to answer using the Q&A facility during the event. Stakeholders may also submit questions ahead of time by emailing ConservationPlans@daera-ni.gov.uk. Any questions not answered during the event will be made available to all who registered along with a recording of the event at a later date.
