Safeguarding for Coaches and Volunteers

CANI wishes to ensure that all those taking part in canoeing are able to do so protected and kept safe from harm while they are with staff, coaches and/or volunteers.

CANI is a registered body with AccessNI and can process AccessNI application form for it members.

CANI believes that we have a duty to ensure the safety of children and adults participating in our sport. The CANI / British Canoeing safeguarding procedures are in place to ensure the safety of those involved in regulated activity within canoeing.

If you require an AccessNI check download the form below.

CANI require AccessNI checks to be updated every three years if it is required to maintain an award or if an employer or club asks for an AccessNI check.

CANI with British Canoeing are currently reviewing their policies and procedures which will be uploaded here shortly.
