Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults

CANI is responsible for safeguarding the welfare of all young people and vulnerable adults involved in canoe & kayaking by protecting them from abuse while taking part in paddlesport activities. CANI is committed to making sure that children and vulnerable adults enjoy paddlesport in a safe environment in which they are protected from any form of poor practice or abuse. The policies, guidance documents and templates aim to instil good practice and raise awareness for everyone involved in the sport.

Policies, Procedures, Guidance & Templates

CANI has worked with British Canoeing, Canoe Scotland and Canoe Wales to develop the Policies, guidance documents and guidance documents. CANI also works closely with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit, and Sport N.I to ensure we are compliant and undertake regular audits from NSPCC.
