Foundation Safety and Rescue Training Orientation

FSRT Orientation

On Wednesday 14th October we had a team of 7 coaches go through FSRT orientation. CANI wish them all the best on their pathway to becoming a FSRT provider. The next FSRT Orientation is on Saturday 2nd July 2016.

The course is aimed at coaches looking to deliver the Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT).  Imagine what a great position your club would be in if you had a coach within your club that could deliver FSRT!  Coaches wishing to become a FSRT Provider are required to complete a provider logbook. You need to register with CANI to receive the Provider Logbook.

This is open to updated coaches with one of the following requirements;

  • BCU Level 3 Coach, plus alternative kayak or canoe 3 star award OR
  • MWE Coach, plus alternative kayak or canoe 3 Star award OR
  • BCU (UKCC) Level 2 (Canoe and Kayak, with both Canoe and Kayak 3 Star) with a minimum of 100 logged coaching hours with a range of craft in the sheltered water environment after achieving Level BCU (UKCC) Level 2.
