Like our “Love to
Paddle” trips, these will be enjoyable, social paddles for those that like to
get their exercise on the water, while taking in the great views from our
blueways.

 

Run by our experienced,
qualified and friendly coaches, these will be guided trips with coaching as
needed, including advice on efficient paddling and paddling for fitness.

Suitable for those who
have completed a “Learn to Paddle” course or already have some paddling experience. All paddling equipment (except clothes/wetsuits) provided.

 

Member price: £30 for the whole course for one, £55 for two
family members, £80 for three.

Drop-in rate (if space

Non-member price: Fantastic value at £50 pp for the whole course.

include a CANI certified skills award and have all the great benefits of

Stand-Up-Paddleboarding

(SUP)

Take part in the fast-growing
sport of SUP. SUPer fun and a great way to exercise and get out on the water and take in the sights.  These will be fun, coached sessions with journeys, forward paddling tips and games, yoga and more.

Learn to kayak through fun and games. No previous experience necessary.

This is a fantastic course to improve your confidence and skills and is coached in a fun progressive way by our qualified, friendly and experienced coaches. This is our after schools course for 10 to 14yr olds. No paddling experience required.

For those that competed the last block, this will be a progression in skills and games.

We provide all the equipment needed (except wetsuits).A good course for those wanting to go to try canoe polo.

Non-member rate:  Fantastic value at £45 per child, including
club membership (valued at £25).

Leader Development Programme

Forum Canoe Steps

This is a development
programme for young people (14+) and adults, who enjoy their paddling and
want to build skills and experience, so they can help on club activities, log
volunteering hours and gain canoeing qualifications.

 

Including skills, safety
and rescue coaching towards the prerequisites for internationally recognised
leadership and coaching qualifications and an introduction to leadership and
coaching theory and practice. Coached by our well qualified and experienced
coach educator and coach mentor.

All paddling kit (except
clothing/wetsuits) can be provided.

 

Member price: £20pp for the whole course for one
(discounted rate for club volunteers).   Assessments and certification
not included.

Coached by our friendly,
experienced and qualified coaches, in a safe and progressive way using a
range of “games with aims” – you’ll be having so much fun, you won’t even
know you are learning 🙂

Including Paddle-Power
coaching and certificates (small fee for books if they don’t already have
them).

Best for children and
parents with some experience already, e.g.  having completed a “Learn to
Paddle” course or similar or more. Individual children and adults welcome.

What’s on each weekend

Seakayak Trip

Intro and Improver Surf Day

 

Open to all, inc non-members and other club’s members

Due to the poor surf forecast we are now running a beginners / improvers seakayak trip in Donegal Bay.  Suitable for anyone who has even a little seakayak experience. eg has been on one of our Wed or Love to Paddle trips.

Surf kayaking is awesome!

Ride the waves, build
skills and confidence, great for getting your first moving water roll and
much more. Coached by our encouraging, qualified and experienced surf coaches
and leaders.

Suitable for paddlers
first time on moving water (previous flat-water experience required,
including being spraydeck confident), or those with more surfing experience
looking to improve. All equipment provided (except wetsuits).

There will be four time
slots over the day (9:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30) and this is open to all
paddlers from Erne Paddlers, other clubs and non-members.

 

Member price: £15pp
(for members of any CANI club), £28 for two, £40 for three family members.

Non-member price: £25pp (plus £5 kit hire if needed) per session.

Discounts available for
groups/families.

Love to Paddle

Multi-craft Trips

 

Open to all, inc non-members and other club’s members

These are lead trips on
the lake with a bit of coaching for those that want it and plenty of
sightseeing and chat.  Run by our friendly, experienced and qualified
leaders, we will plan this to be suitably paced with the right level of
challenge to make it enjoyable for all abilities, and there will still be
room for some fun and games 🙂 These will be multi-craft journeys, so we hope
you have the option to paddle the craft of your choice, seakayak, open canoe,
SUP, etc (depending on ability and conditions). Suitable for those who have
completed a “Learn to Paddle” course or have already done a little bit of
paddling. All paddling equipment (except clothes/wetsuits) provided.

 

Member price: £12pp  (includes
transport of kayaks, etc), £22 for two family members, £32 for three.

Non-member price: £18pp.  Discounts
available for groups/families and those with their own equipment.

CANI Recreational Paddle

CANI recreational paddles
are suitable and open to all!

 

From first timers to
competing professionals, we see individuals, families, clubs and paddlers of
all ages and abilities taking part.

 

You can take in the views
from a different perspective and see wildlife you wouldn’t normally
experience. These social paddles offer perfect opportunities to get to know
other paddlers making them ideal for individuals but also lots fun for the
whole family.

 

They are a great way of
getting outdoors, so dust down your boat and come and join us! If you don’t
have a boat, open canoes and sea kayaks are available to hire from CANI (or
from Erne Padders for club members as usual).

Courses open to the public
All our courses are open to the public. “Learn to Paddle” courses are especially
geared towards beginners and those wanting to join the club. Other courses
require some previous experience, either just a little  (so we know you
are ok to go on an easy journey) or a bit more for; sea, surf and river
sessions for example. Pre-requisites (if any!) are listed in the course
information above. If you want help choosing the right course for you, give
Harry a call on the number below.

 

Membership

Non-members can paddle
with the club up to four times before membership is required (for insurance
purposes). For beginners on one of our “Learn to Paddle” courses, discounted
membership is included in the course price.  For those with previous
paddling experience wanting to join in on other activities on a regular
basis, please contact email@ernepaddlers.org.uk
for membership info and prices.

Courses to order
If you don’t see something that suits your needs in our programme, whether
you are a member or a non-member, looking to try paddling for the first time,
wanting a one-off fun session for a group, or you are aiming to build the
necessary skills and experience to go paddling with a group of friends, we

Sessions for Groups
