What

This will be a small group, fun course, focusing on quality
progressive coaching and learning through “games with aims”, led by our
friendly, experienced and qualified coaches who have a genuine passion for
canoeing, outdoor education and child development.

Erne paddlers has a fantastic club ethos of everyone helping out
and supporting each other. We encourage a growth mindset, personal
development and building resilience through overcoming well managed
challenges with positive feedback. A wide range of fun and challenging
canoeing activities will be on offer including; open canoe trips, sit-on-top
kayaks, polo, standup paddleboards, racing, journeys, games, skills and more.

Summer camps and outdoor activities are where kids have some of
the best formative experiences of their young lives and making new best
friends.

Participants will have the option to complete the National Governing
Body Paddle Power Awards.

How to Book

For club members, please note: you can not book onto club
events through teamer.net (the online service we use to manage the club). You
can only confirm your attendance at events you have been “invited” to – this
is a limit of the teamer system.

will then be invited via teamer (please respond) and a payment request sent
out.

For new and last year’s returning members. Please book using the
form link to the right. Please select “non-member” and we will collect all
the info we need to process your membership (essential for insurance).

Like our “Love to Paddle” trips, these will be enjoyable,
social paddles for those that like to get their exercise on the water, while
taking in the great views from our blueways.

Run by our experienced, qualified and friendly coaches, these
will be guided trips with coaching as needed, including advice on efficient
paddling and paddling for fitness.

Suitable for those who have completed a “Learn to Paddle”
course or have already done a little bit of paddling. All paddling equipment

Multicraft, coached skills and journeys.

Suitable for anyone wanting to improve their skills, having done
one of our beginner courses. This course will develop your kayak and canoeing
skills, coaching on efficient forward paddling, supports and developing
confidence in safety and rescue techniques. Working towards the BC 2 and 3 star
syllabus for those that want assessment.

Leader Development Programme

Open to all, inc non-members

Ongoing

This is a development programme for young people (14+) and
adults, who enjoy their paddling and want to build skills and experience, so
they can help on club activities, log volunteering hours (UCAS points) and
gain internationally recognised vocational canoeing qualifications.

Including skills, safety and rescue coaching towards the
prerequisites for internationally recognised leadership and coaching
qualifications and an introduction to leadership and coaching theory and
practice. Coached and mentored by our well qualified and experienced coach
educator.

Coaching
qualification pre-requisite courses; 2 star, 3 star, FSRT (safety and
rescue), First Aid, Safeguarding, etc will be organized to suit the availability
of the participants in preparation for Paddlesport Leader and Instructor
courses by the end of the summer.

NW Donegal Seakayak Trips

Dunfanaghy Area

Come along to Erne Paddlers Intro to sea kayaking trips. This
will be an easy seakayak trip starting in Portnablagh Harbour and taking in
the nearby Breagy headland. This is a fantastic coastline has caves, rock
hopping and sea arches as well as the local wildlife (seals and occasional
dolphins – no promises though!) and coastal wild flowers at this time of year
and all in easy conditions. This trip is aimed at those club members/
paddlers who have completed lake journeys in sea kayaks through eg. our Love
to paddle or No Work Wednesdays programmes and who want a first experience of
paddling on the sea.

Open to non-members and members of other clubs who have previous
seakayak experience and are spraydeck confident.

There will be two trips on 14th July with only 6 places on each.
AM trip meets at 10am to be on the water 10.30am to 1pm and the PM trip meets
at 2pm to be off the water at 430pm to load the trailer etc.

Kayaks and all safety kit provided (except personal clothing.
wetsuits are not necessary) – just bring your lunch & snacks and a change
of clothes in a dry bag to carry in your boat. Please text Chloe to be added
to a WhatsApp group if you would like to car pool from Enniskillen area.

Parking is at the harbour and nearest toilets are in the coffee
shop a few hundred metres away (customers only so why not have a bun too!)

The nearest town is Dunfanaghy which has a fantastic array of
sandy beaches, coffee shops, pizzerias, pubs etc if you want to make a day of
it – coaches have local knowledge and can advise you on options on the day.
Coaches will be heading out for a pizza after the PM paddle so feel free to
join us.

Booking is essential before Thursday 12th July 2018 at 5PM. The

These are lead trips on the lake with a bit of coaching for
those that want it and plenty of sightseeing and chat.  Run by our
friendly, experienced and qualified leaders, we will plan this to be suitably
paced with the right level of challenge to make it enjoyable for all
abilities, and there will still be room for some fun and games 🙂 These will
be multi-craft journeys, so we hope you have the option to paddle the craft
of your choice, seakayak, open canoe, SUP, etc (depending on ability and
conditions). Suitable for those who have completed a “Learn to Paddle” course
or have already done a little bit of paddling. All paddling equipment (except
clothes/wetsuits) provided.

Member price:

Courses open to the public
All our courses are open to the public. “Learn to Paddle” courses are
especially geared towards beginners and those wanting to join the club. Other
courses require some previous experience, either just a little (so we know
you are ok to go on an easy journey) or a bit more for; sea, surf and river
sessions for example. Pre-requisites (if any) are listed in the course
information above. If you want help choosing the right course for you, get in
touch with us at the contact info below.

Membership

Non-members can paddle with the club up to four times before
membership is required (for insurance purposes). For beginners on one of our
“Learn to Paddle” courses, discounted membership is included in the course
price.  For those with previous paddling experience wanting to join in
on other activities on a regular basis, please contact email@ernepaddlers.org.uk for membership info and
prices.

Courses to order

you are a member or a non-member, looking to try paddling for the first time,
wanting a one-off fun session for a group, or you are aiming to build the
