Hello Everyone!

If you are reading this then you are cordially invited to the exclusive invitation list for the opening of Decathlon’s very new store over here in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Based on the HolywoodExchangeRetailPark, the new 40,000sq ft store will accommodate 70 different sports through from swimming and tennis to horse riding and fishing to football and running.

There is something for everyone in store, and I hope that you can make it along to experience the celebrations!


Decathlon Belfast opens its doors on 17th June 2010.
On Wednesday 16th June 2010 we are holding our EXCLUSIVE Store Opening Event, which will enable guests to be able to experience the store before it even opens!
This will run from 6.30-9pm and will include a special talk from Sports Extraordinaire Mark Pollock, food and drink, DJ, entertainment, special discounts and goody bags.

Official postal invitations are being sent out in the early part of next week, so expect yours soon!

On Saturday 19th June 2010 we will be holding our HUGE Public Opening Event
We want this to be BIG!
There will be a number of different things going on throughout the day,
David Healy will be kicking around all day, along with a Cool FM Radio Roadshow, spot prizes, competitions, interactive sporting events, face painting, special promotions and displays.
Let everyone you know aware of this – we want to have as many of you down at the store as possible!


Decathlon is sponsoring the Decathlon Northern Ireland Triathlon Series.
More than 2,000 triathletes across Northern Ireland are expected to take part in the series which launches on Saturday 5th June at CrookedLake. The series continues with the Spar Causeway Coast Triathlon in Portrush on 13th June and Co. Fermanagh will run the Waterways Ireland Fermanagh Lakeland Triathlon at BoaIsland on Sunday 27th June.

The sweeping mountains of Mourne will play host to ‘Top of the Mourne Triathlon’ in Rostrevor on Sunday 25th July and Saturday 7th August will see the pretty town of Castlewellan as the setting for the Mourne Triathlon. The triathlon series will finish on the toughest challenge yet, the Half Ireman and Ireman 226 at Groomsport on Sunday 22nd August.

This is a great opportunity for Decathlon, and we are working closely with the Pioneer Group who is hosting the series. We will be along at each event, with the hope of taking part in a few. Watch this space…..
