The NSPCC has launched  a collection of online films- ‘Play Sport Stay Safe’. The films are free to view on the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit website.

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK 2019

  • Tackling bullying in sport – There are a number of things that sports clubs can do to address bullying behaviour, such as developing codes of conduct and an anti-bullying policy.  CANI have adopted British Canoeing Safeguarding policies and a copy of the antibullying policy (SPC-P3) and codes of conduct can be viewed on the British Canoeing website here
  • Homophobic bullying in youth sport- the briefing offers advice on tackling bullying behaviour towards LGBT young people here
  • Anti-bullying activities– a number of different 20 minute activities to help coaches/volunteers approach the topic of bullying behaviour with children and young people here
  • The Northern Ireland Anti-bullying Forum– defines bullying as usually repeated behaviour that intentionally hurts, harms or adversely affects the rights and needs of another or others. Click here
