Senior Lough Beg Marathon will start at Newferry going into Lough Beg and then back down the Lower Bann finishing at PORTGLENONE (approx 5 Miles). This course may be varied to suit conditions/paddler ability at the discretion of the organisers.
Senior Men K1 Senior Ladies K1 Open C2
N.I. Schools Championship will start at Newferry – finishing at Portglenone (approx 4 miles)

Age Groups: Under 14, Under 16 & Under 18 at 1st January 2013
All entrants must be individual members of C.A.N.I or registered members of affiliated clubs.
It is compulsory for all paddlers to wear a suitable buoyancy aid
All entrants should be competent paddlers, of at least BCU one star standard.
All juniors must be accompanied to the event by a qualified CANI Coach, parent, or senior club member prepared to confirm their ability to paddle 4 miles.
Kayaks must not exceed 5.2m in length. Shorter boats are welcome in all classes, and classes may be subdivided if there are sufficient entries.
There is No Class for K2s or Kayak Doubles in this race.
CANI development K1s are available for use in this race by those with some previous experience of paddling them: if you wish to book use of a CANI boat please contact Malcolm Kerry- email firstname.lastname@example.org not later than 12 September.
