British Canoeing Seek Board Slalom Athlete

British Canoeing are looking for a current international or recently retired international slalom athlete representative to act as a voting member of the board. The board wish to position athletes at the heart of planning and decision making to ensure the Championships deliver an environment within which athletes can excel and maximise performance.

Previous board experience is not essential, training and mentoring can be provided. The post is not remunerated, though reasonable expenses will be paid. Meetings are expected to take place quarterly during 2021 and the first half of 2022 and then more frequently and as required, within a schedule to be agreed within the final 12 months prior to the event. Meetings will take place at Lee Valley or virtually.

British Canoeing would hope that the appointed member would be willing to make contributions/provide advice, within reason, outside of the board cycle of meetings but understand the time constraints within training programmes.
