CANI had its first Coach and Paddler Development Conference at Tollymore National Outdoor Centre on Saturday 21st and Sunday22nd February 2015. The Coach and Paddler Development Conference was delivered by highly experienced experts designed to assist and educate coaches and paddlers and allow them to gain more knowledge.
A total of 24 people took part on Saturday, who attended a different variety of workshops available, which included Fundamentals of Movement in Paddlesport and Mentoring among others, however the Optimising Fitness and Performance proved to be the most popular.
Sunday 22nd proved to be just as popular as the Saturday session with 22 people in attendance who again had a wide range of workshops available for them to attend such as Pool Session Coaching Supporting and Rolling and Coaching Young People 5cs among other workshops.
For the Optimising Fitness and Performance modules we had Lee Pooley come across to deliver this for CANI and orientate a tutor in this area for us.
Everyone involved had an excellent time on the workshops that they took part in.
CANI would like to thank all the coaches and volunteers that were involved in setting up and delivery of the conference.
