The Annual General Meeting of The Canoe Association of Northern Ireland will be held on 19th October 2022 at 19.30, (Tea and Coffee available from 19.00) at Belfast Boat Club, 12 Lock View Road, Belfast, BT9 5FJ. As a voting member of CANI, you are entitled to appoint a proxy to exercise all or any of your rights to attend, speak and vote at a general meeting of the Company. Further details, including proxy forms and agenda will follow.
At this meeting there will be the opportunity for members to elect directors to the board. There are Five positions open to nominations from members. These positions are voluntary, and directors are elected for a 2-year term. There are approximately 10 meetings a year and additional commitments as agreed. The nomination and election are to the board, roles are allocated by the directors.
To nominate someone for a position on the board, you should return the completed nomination form, (available here) by email no later than noon on the 5th October 2022. Forms can only be accepted by email to office@cani.org.uk
Please note, only current Life, Full and Recreational members are entitled to nominate as per the CANI Memorandum and Articles of Association.
