Attainment of the ‘Advanced Water Leader’ award (formally 5*star) indicates that you have a high level of personal skill, judgement, leadership ability and group management in advanced water environments. It is a leadership award and will test paddlers who wish to lead groups of other paddlers in advanced water environments.
This award acts as pre-requisites to other British Canoeing awards.
Registration
Registration is required prior to advance water leader assessment. You must be aged 18 or over to complete your assessment. It is advisable to register at least 2-weeks prior to assessment.
Please note: Candidates need to ensure their safety and rescue skills are current are up-to-date before presenting for an assessment.
