Disclosure Policy
CANI wishes to ensure that all those taking part in canoeing are able to do so protected and kept safe from harm while they are with staff, coaches and/or volunteers. To help us achieve this CANI have agreed the following implementation policy which forms part of all policies and procedures in Northern Ireland with respect to Child Protection.

The following people need to undertake an Access NI Enhanced Disclosure.
CANI Affiliated Clubs
All coaches and volunteers, who have significant contact with young people.

CANI Approved Centres
Paddlesport coaches and staff who work with children.

CANI Junior Programmes/Squads
All CANI coaches, staff, and volunteers, who have contact with young people.

New coaches
BCU UKCC (level 2 and above) coaches

Existing Coaches
All existing CANI coaches

Staff and Volunteers
Volunteers / employees who are not coaches but have contact with young people.

ID Validation Forms
When completing the AccessNI disclosure application form you will need to get somebody from the following list to verify your identification.

Club chairman,
Aspirant level 5 coach,
Level 5 coach,
CANI coaching panel member or
CANI council members

To verify your identification one of the above must complete the identity verification form which MUST be returned to CANI with your AccessNI application form.
