Northwest Coaching Masterclass – Fundamentals of Movement applied to Paddlesport

This masterclass will be delivered by Robin Greg Lecturer of Sport University of Ulster, Oisin Hallissey Head of Paddlesports at Tollymore National Outdoor Centre and Rodger Hamilton Club and Coaching Officer with the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland.

The masterclass will focus on developing the coaches knowledge and understanding of the Fundamentals of Movement; Balance, Coordination and Agility and how best to apply this into paddlesport through practical activity, observation and coaching.

Date – Saturday 27th February 2016
Time – 10.00am – 4.00pm
Cost – £15.00 maximum spaces 12

Programme for the day;
Morning Session 10.00am – 1.00pm – Melvin Sports Complex
Fundamentals of Movement – Developing knowledge and understanding of Balance, Coordination and Agility.

This session of the workshop will be land based; to participate in this you will need loose clothing and trainers.

Lunch from 1.00 – 1.30pm

Afternoon Session 1.30 – 4.00pm – Mourne River at Melvin Sports Complex
Applying Fundamentals of Movement to Paddlesport through practical activity, observation and coaching.

This session of the workshop will be water based; to participate in this you will need paddling kit. If you have your own boat bring it along if not we will supply you with boats on request.
