National Go Canoeing Week took place between Saturday 28th May and Sunday 5th June. It was great to see many clubs and activity providers get involved in the programme. Throughout the week there were 1471 participants taking part in canoeing activities. Foyle Paddlers had a range of different canoeing activities on offer and they had 150 new people take part during their programmes. County Antrim Paddlesports had 66 new participants take part in their two come and try it programmes. Erne Paddlers had 65 new people take part in either Stand Up Paddle Boarding or kayaking or canoeing during their 2 weekend programmes. Newry and Mourne Sea Kayak and Canoe Club had 37 new participants take part in their come and try it session. C3 Paddlers had 11 new people take part in their Canoe Programme. Broighter Paddlers had 37 new people take part in their 2 canoeing programmes Far and Wild had 13 people take part in the Wild Atlantic Salmon Kayak tour. Bryson Lagan Sports had 1092 new people who tried canoeing or bell boats throughout their 3 days of come and try it sessions.
