Level 2 transfer and level 2 support day – 12th June and 13th October
The aim of the BCU (UKCC) Level 2 Transfer Module is to provide existing BCU Level 2 coaches with the additional tools to plan and deliver a series of progressive paddlesport coaching sessions in multidiscipline. Between the transfer day and assessment you will need to plan, deliver and review a number of coaching sessions, which you will need to log. You will also need to complete a portfolio and an additional Continued Personal Development (CPD) unit. The assessment takes place over one day when you will be observed undertaking a number of tasks including two coaching sessions. Once registered, Level 2 candidates have 12 months to complete the training and assessment elements of the BCU Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport. Anyone who already holds a BCU Level 2 award can register for the BCU (UKCC) Level 2 Transfer Module by sending a booking form (download from the download section) along with £40 to CANI. Star generic assessor training – 24th June and 15th September
If you are a level 3 coach and also hold 5 star in the same discipline you are eligible to access the training to deliver the NEW 4 star course. The first step in the process is to complete the generic assessor training; then you will complete a discipline specific training day and then complete a log book process. Full details of the process are on the CANI website. The generic assessor training day will cost £40. If you would like to book on the course download a CANI booking form and send to the CANI office along with the course fee.

4 star discipline specific (sea) assessor training – 7th October
If you are a level 3 coach and also hold 5 star in Sea kayak and have completed the generic assessor training you are eligible to apply for this course. The Sea Kayak assessor training day will cost £40. If you would like to book on the course download a CANI booking form and send to the CANI office along with the course fee.

Foundation Safety and Rescue assessor orientation – 25th July
If you are an existing FSRT provider and wish to receive some top tips and handy hints for delivering the award then come along and gain new skills. A full range of boats and equipment will be available for use along with additional resources. The cost for this updating opportunity is £20. To book on complete a CANI course booking form and return to the CANI office.
If you would like to deliver the FSRT award and you are a level 3 coach with 3 star you need to attend an FSRT assessor training day. The training day will look at the syllabus, trainer notes and the tips and hints for running the award. On completion of the training day you will receive a log book and will need to complete the steps before gaining assessor status. The cost for this course is £40.
